As part of the summer of giving, the Los Angeles chapter of Cushman & Wakefield’s Women’s Integrated Network (WIN) hosted a beach cleanup event in Hermosa Beach, CA.

Employees from multiple offices gathered at Tower 12 to spend their time and energy picking up trash along the beach, from cigarette butts and Band-Aids to discarded articles of clothing. The task was far from glamorous but the volunteers had fun together and were all smiles in their trademark C&W red sunglasses.

After cleaning up the coastline, the group took a well-earned break with drinks and appetizers as part of the WIN Summer of Giving campaign. Happy Hour for a Cause was a success, with proceeds benefitting Girl Scouts of the USA and World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), organizations dedicated to helping girls and young women around the world.

“We wanted to do an event that not only gave back to the local community, like cleaning up the beach, but one that would have a larger impact as well,” said Chelsea Gribble. “Girl Scouts and WAGGGS are both great associations that help young women learn leadership skills and achieve their full potential. We’re thrilled to be able to support their work through our donations.”

The outing was organized by Chelsea, Amy Dittoe, and Jackie Klein, L.A. WIN Committee Chairs for Philanthropy.
