On March 30, Cushman & Wakefield Future Leaders (CWFL) participated in the Corporate Cup Challenge for the annual Heart of the City 5k, a run/walk supporting California Hospital Medical Center (CHMC) in Downtown Los Angeles. The 318-bed non-profit hospital has been providing the residents of Los Angeles with quality, compassionate care for over 130 years and improving the long-term health of the community.
CWFL’s Brianna Demus, Erica Finck, Dillon Moscone, Minna Suh, and team leader Ivy Gaitan joined 3,000 participants, including other corporate teams, families with children, and even dogs, running and walking through LA, with CHMC serving as both the start and the finish line. The event raised over $218,000, with the Cushman & Wakefield team contributing $2,873 to the total. Dillon was highlighted as one of the event’s top 5 individual fundraisers, raising $1,476.
This year’s proceeds will help CHMC build a state-of-the-art, four-story patient care tower, allowing for expansion of critical departments, including the only full-service trauma and emergency center downtown, and the neonatal intensive care unit.
“It was a really fun team-building challenge for a great cause. We’re thrilled to support California Hospital Medical Center and the life-saving care services they provide to our community,” Ivy said.
