Cushman & Wakefield Represents Tenant in 11-Year Lease Relocation/Expansion at City National Plaza

City National Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, January 11, 2018 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Lendlease, a leading property company with headquarters in Australia, has signed an 11-year lease at City National Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. The tenant will occupy 17,523 square feet at 515 S. Flower Street in a relocation and expansion of their Southern California hub later this year.

Brokerage professional Justin Collins from Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant Lendlease. The landlord CommonWealth Partners was represented by John Bendetti.

“One of their main objectives was to identify a prominent and central Downtown location that would ensure the employees could stay connected within the community and have access to a variety of quality amenities and transportation alternatives,” said Mr. Collins, an Executive Director who is based in the firm’s Downtown Los Angeles office. “There were a lot of moving parts involved with this transaction but it was a great example of what happens when two motivated parties work together to come up with creative solutions.”

The 52-story, Class A office building at 515 S. Flower Street is part of City National Plaza, a 2,648,920-square-foot project spanning the entire city block on Flower and Figueroa Streets and Fifth and Sixth Streets in Downtown Los Angeles. It consists of two office towers, one plaza-level building, and four subterranean levels featuring retail and parking. The property was awarded an Energy Star label and LEED Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for its operating efficiency.

Notable tenants in the project include City National Corp., Gensler, Paul Hastings LLP, Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, Foley & Lardner LLP, and Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP.
