Cushman & Wakefield Continues its Growth in Greater Los Angeles – Firm Opens Innovative Office in El Segundo

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – May 16, 2017 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that the firm has opened an office in El Segundo, Calif.  The new visionary office located at 2141 Rosecrans Avenue is part of the firm’s overall growth strategy in Southern California and will house upwards of 50 professionals.

“The space itself presented a number of opportunities for us.  Formerly built as a gym complete with two racquetball courts, we had the benefit of 30′ ceilings, multiple levels, operable windows, private outdoor decks, and an immense amount of natural light.  While challenging, this penthouse space provided a near perfect canvas for us to showcase our culture and principles of teamwork, imagination, integrity and honesty.”

Relocating from Torrance, Cushman & Wakefield virtually tripled the size of this local South Bay office from 4,000 square feet (sf) into approximately 12,000 sf. The firm’s new space is part of a larger Class A multi-building project, Continental Park, owned by Continental Development Corporation.

Cushman & Wakefield has another South Bay office location in the city of Long Beach. Mr. McDonald noted, “The South Bay continues to be a vital and active market for our firm and is a region we remain heavily focused on.”

Uniquely located within a standalone building atop the parking structure in the project, Cushman & Wakefield’s new penthouse space was completely redesigned and specifically reconfigured to meet the new innovative and advanced service and technological needs of the firm and its clients.

Meredith Kovach, a Senior Project Manager with Cushman & Wakefield who co-led the firm’s management team in the project, said, “Our new hospitality-focused space and approach showcases and tests new cutting-edge technologies and tools that are demonstrated by state-of-the-art technology at workstations and offices allowing for people to work anywhere throughout the space, as well is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual systems in all conference rooms that are similar to those found in offices across our firm to promote seamless continuity.”

The opening of Cushman & Wakefield’s new El Segundo office follows the firm’s recent announcement of its relocation in Downtown Los Angeles in October. The firm signed a long-term lease at the world-class Wilshire Grand Center, a prominent 2.1-million-square-foot commercial development in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, where it will occupy the 24th and 25th floors.

The firm also anticipates additional growth plans ahead in other offices throughout Greater Los Angeles and Orange County.
