Building Hope Raises $125,000 for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research

Cushman & Wakefield at Monte Carlo Night

The Los Angeles Real Estate & Construction Industries (LARE) Council is a group of dedicated industry and community leaders from all aspects of the industry – construction, development, finance, insurance, legal, management, parking and more, and LARE’s Building Hope group is a strategic initiative for emerging leaders in the Los Angeles real estate community who are motivated by a commitment to support innovative research and compassionate patient care at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA.

This year, LARE hosted its Sixth Annual Building Hope Monte Carlo Game Night at the Jonathan Club in Downtown Los Angeles. Over 300 real estate professionals attended the fundraiser, enjoying food, drinks, table games, and a silent auction with proceeds from the event benefitting life-extending research and treatment of pediatric brain cancer taking place at City of Hope. Dr. Leo Wang, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in Immuno-Oncology and Pediatrics, is currently enrolling patients in clinical trials using CAR-T cells.

“By being part of Monte Carlo Night, we’re giving kids a second chance. We are thrilled to have exceeded our goal of raising $125,000 this year towards Dr. Leo Wang’s on-going life extending research and treatment of pediatric brain cancer taking place at City of Hope,” said Jae Yoo, Executive Director at Cushman & Wakefield and Executive Board Member for Building Hope.
