LOS ANGELES, CA, January 3, 2016 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Blue Bottle Coffee Company, a celebrated specialty coffee roaster and one of the most successful third wave coffee companies in the country, has signed a 10-year lease at Robertson Plaza in Los Angeles, California. The retailer will occupy approximately 1,400 square feet of ground floor space at 120 Robertson Boulevard, part of the 100,000-square-foot mixed-use center owned by leading West Coast developer, investor, and property manager Robertson Properties Group.

A Cushman & Wakefield team led by Matthew Fainchtein, Carter Magnin, Kazuko Morgan, and Carine Mamann in partnership with Jay Luchs and Genny Chang from NGKF represented the landlord in the transaction.

“The exceptional retail space at Robertson Plaza was perfect for Blue Bottle, who has been extremely successful in expanding to the right markets with the right locations,” said Matthew Fainchtein, Senior Director of Retail Services in Cushman & Wakefield’s West Los Angeles office. “As one of the leading purveyors of third wave coffee, this addition will be popular with tenants, tourists, and locals alike and reinforces the continued revitalization of Robertson Boulevard and the Beverly Grove area.”

Robertson Plaza is currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation scheduled to be completed in early 2017. Notable nearby retailers on Robertson Boulevard include Chanel, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Lululemon Athletica, and the iconic Ivy restaurant. The Plaza also benefits from its close proximity to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the Beverly Center.

Blue Bottle Coffee Company, who is known for their high-quality beans, artisan micro-roasting, and meticulous coffee preparation, will open the Robertson Plaza café sometime next year. Locally Blue Bottle’s locations include Venice, Beverly Grove, Downtown Los Angeles, Echo Park, Culver City, Los Feliz, and Beverly Hills. In addition to Los Angeles, the Oakland-based company has taken their successful expansion to markets such as New York City and Tokyo, Japan. For more information, visit
